Light and Sound Experiment

This afternoon LS1 and Room 5 went to the reserve and did an experiment. We needed to put our hands up when we heard the clapper. We made a long line beside the water. Ms Kirkpatrick was at one end. When she clapped the sound traveled down the line. People put their hands up in the a wave. We saw the clapper before we heard the sound because light travels faster then sound.

  1. This sound experiment sounds really interesting. I'd like to try it myself. I like how you went out there on a misty foggy day, I bet that was fun too! What else did you discover about sound during your Inquiry? From Miss Cockeram.
